“Had two vertebrae fused together in my lower back. Required screws and rods. Dr Sanfilippo and his staff were excellent to work with, very pleasant,efficient and informative. They gave me a great sense of confidence and took care of setting up all my appointments and made it easy for me. Surgery went well and I was treated very well in my one night stay in the hospital. After getting home I was diligent at being consist with eating the right foods, walking,icing and doing everything I was told to do. I had a little pain and discomfort in the first week but my recovery was excellent. I am 4 months after surgery and it was the best decision I every made! DR Sanfilippo and his staff gave me a quality of life back that I thought I would never have again! I will forever be grateful and thankful for all they did for me!!!!”

“I had a cervical fusion yesterday for one level, C5-C6, performed by Dr. Sanfilippo. Already, the pain I had been experiencing for a decade is gone. I can't feel it at all! “My experience with Dr. Sanfilippo in particular and Reconstructive Orthopedics in general have been outstanding. Dr. Sanfilippo, his PA, the technicians as well as the office staff are to a person just terrific. I would consider myself a pretty well informed patient and due to an auto accident and a football career through to the college level, I've had the unfortunate experience of over a dozen surgeries. The spinal surgery performed by Dr. Sanfilippo this past January was by far the most serious and potentially debilitating in my experience. The procedure was explained in detail, all of my questions were answered - if they had already not been anticipated - and I was treated with kindness and care, something rare these days.
Reconstructive Orthopedics makes use of technology in their office that is patient friendly and efficient. The appointments were very timely with almost no wait time and their follow up within the medical community (radiology, primary care physician, pharmacy, specialists, etc) were seamless.
I would strongly - and in fact already have - recommended this group for any orthopedic procedure that an individual might need. If something as serious as major surgery can be described as a positive experience, that was certainly my experience with Dr. Sanfilippo and the team at Reconstructive Orthopedics.”

“I had previously seen Dr. Gutman, and can only say good things about her and her treatment, but the results were not long enough lasting for me. After drifting from various back surgeons in the Delaware Valley, I selected Dr. Sanfilippo do perform minimally invasive laminectomy surgery on my L4-5 area. I had been suffering for quite some time due to a mild back issue which had been aggravated by heavy lifting during peritoneal dialysis. Prior to seeing Dr. Sanfilippo I was barely able to sit, stand, lie down, or walk. My back hurt, my legs hurt, and I had such weakness that I had difficulty walking up a flight of stairs. Now, just two weeks later, my pain is almost totally gone, with rare spurts of nerve pain in my legs from awakening nerves, my core strength, though still somewhat diminished, has already improved. I can walk up a flight of stairs "normally", and I can get out of a chair without pushing off the arm rests. I still have a way to go to regain strength and flexibility. I feel great!!!!”
