“I have seen over ten surgeons, and Dr. Whitaker is the only one I have and would refer to a friend. He and I will never be fishing buddies, but as far as surgeons go, he is as good as they get. Surgeons are not God, and although they may be able to fix some people, they cannot set us all. Far as what he did, it's as good as it is going to get. I need to see him again, but I'm waiting till I have to be carried in and or hardware or a bone sticks out of the skin. I wished I had found him before the other four surgeons made my condition worse than it ever was. Bottom line pain is my middle name!”

“It has been a while since my back surgery, and I am 100% pain-free. The recovery seemed long and hard (especially wearing the "stylish" back brace) but understand that it was essential for my recovery. My therapy afterward went so smoothly that I was released a week ahead of time. My procedure went great and as planned; however, I do realize how important it is not to be overweight and a non-smoker. When others are contemplating back surgery and are afraid because of horror stories, I can tell them how grateful I am that I went through with it and how full my life is now to do anything physical that I want to do. Golf, exercising, walking an hour a day. Oh, and by the way, I am 72 years old. Thank you!”

She listens to what you have to say and makes notes of all your questions and concerns, and gets the answers before you leave. Valerie is an AWESOME member of Dr. Whitaker's team. She follows through with the patient and makes you feel comfortable. Not sure what her hours are, but she was on the phone with me after 5:30 pm resolving a medication issue. Ida, at the front desk, is caring and makes you feel most welcome! She always has a smile on her face and willing to help with any concerns. Every office needs a front desk person like Ida!

“I was treated very well by my provider. Before surgery, I was given information that was clear and understandable. Other non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy, injections, and pain control were required and tried before going straight to surgery. When those treatments were not found to be effective, then surgery was decided upon during a discussion between myself and my provided. Service was exceptional during pre-surgery, surgery, and post surgery.”

“With 2 damaged spine sections complicated by arthritis, I am fortunate disabling events are infrequent. However, when they malfunction, they are crippling.
