“Dr. Singer is terrific. I'm seeing her for a broken toe, with a history of slow bone healing, plus I'm 70 years old with a congenital condition affecting my body's collagen. During my two visits with her, she came in smiling, was patient, and answered all my questions. She was responsive and optimistic in response to my anxiety about whether my bone would heal. She was honest about it being a healing process, given my age and history. Dr. Singer gave me specific instructions and suggestions about what type of shoe I could wear, and it was great to learn I could wear my stiff-soled Drew sneakers instead of the post-op shoe I'd been given at Urgent Care. At my second visit, she was upbeat, said things looked terrific, and showed me my x-rays from my first visit versus this visit, which was two months later. She pointed to the white lines filling in where the bones had been separated and explained that my body was healing itself; that white material was proof that the process was underway and, she estimated, halfway done. It was a great relief. I also got permission to stop buddy-taping my toe unless it made me feel better or more secure. Dr. Singer is a generous, responsive physician who quickly grasped that my case was only partially typical, listened carefully to my history, and treated me accordingly. I got great service for a broken toe.”
